The Power Of The Media
by Ian

Because they tell you what to buy, you do.
Blind faith in them will surely ease their task.
They tell you what is old and what is new.
Do what they say, but certainly don't ask.
Suppose, however, one day they were wrong
And if we followed their demands would die.
Maybe some would shout out before too long:
Not the brave but those too often shy.
In fact we would accept those things we see,
Listen blindly with our untrained ears.
For truth is what comes from our own tv.
Behind his desk, the newsman sits, and tears
Are soon to come to both his sorry eyes.
The man, alive today, tomorrow dies.
